A new indoor golf and entertainment venue is set to open at the Flemingate centre in Beverley, East Yorkshire.

The new venue will give golfers a year-round place to play and practice, while also bringing immersive sports gaming, crazy golf and a vibrant social space to the town.

Professional golfer Sam Robinson and his wife Natalie are launching FORE!, a family-run venture that will transform a two-storey unit at the retail and leisure destination into a venue where golfers can hone their game, while friends, families and groups can enjoy a relaxed, social experience.

FORE! will combine cutting-edge golf technology, entertainment and a social environment. It will feature four state-of-the-art golf simulator bays, including a premium VIP suite for larger groups, parties and business events.

Golfers will be able to practice all year round, analyse every shot and test their skills virtually on more than 500 golf courses from around the world, including some of the sport's most iconic venues.

While experienced golfers can use the simulators to practice and improve their skills, a range of interactive games and challenges will also ensure visitors of all ages and abilities can take part and enjoy the experience.

Upstairs, visitors will find a nine-hole crazy golf course, with a themed design which will be revealed nearer the opening date. The upper floor will also feature a bar and relaxed seating area, creating a welcoming space where guests can enjoy a drink and socialise.

Lincolnshire-based Sam has been a professional golfer since 2006 and has competed in events ranging from regional tournaments, to international competitions on the European Challenge Tour.

Sam will also offer a limited number of coaching sessions at the venue. The coaching programme will also include dedicated ladies' and junior sessions, delivered by other coaches, helping golfers of all ages and abilities develop their game.

Sam said: “We’re really looking forward to opening our new venture at Flemingate. FORE! will bring something completely different to Beverley, giving people the chance to try something new and exciting, even if they’ve never picked up a club before.

“We want FORE! to be more than somewhere to play golf. We want it to become a real social hub for the community – a place where people can catch up with friends, enjoy a drink, and have fun.”

Owned and operated by Hull-based Wykeland Group, Flemingate features a wide range of leading high street and independent retailers, restaurants, cafés and leisure attractions.

Jason Platten, Wykeland’s Head of Retail and Leisure, said: “FORE! complements Flemingate’s existing retail and leisure offer perfectly.

“As an innovative, independent venture, it will bring something new and distinctive to Beverley, attracting a broad range of visitors and adding another reason for people to spend time at Flemingate.”
