Shooting Star Celebrates 20 Years in Business

Lincoln-based marketing, digital and PR agency Shooting Star celebrated 20 years in business last night with a wine and cheese tasting event for VIP guests.

Shooting Star was founded by Kate Strawson and Jez Ashberry in 2006. Over the past two decades the agency has worked with over 300 clients across the UK and overseas and employed more than 40 staff.

They’ve also provided work experience and paid internships to over 100 young people and supported 19 charities with fund-raising and pro bono work through their Charity of the Year scheme.

Yesterday evening special guests gathered for a tour of Wressle Vineyard near Brigg, followed by guided wine and cheese tasting and birthday cake!

“Twenty years in business is quite a milestone, and it was wonderful to celebrate with clients, suppliers, supporters and friends we’ve met along the way,” said Shooting Star Director Kate Strawson.

“We’ve achieved a lot but we’re not resting on our laurels – here’s to what the next 20 years will bring!”

Shooting Star’s longest-serving client is Beatson Clark, an award-winning UK-based glass packaging manufacturer.

Marketing Manager Charlotte Pike said: “Twenty years is quite an achievement and Jez and Kate should be proud of the team they’ve built.

“We've worked with Shooting Star for 15 of those 20 years and they’ve built some amazing relationships with our key press, which has meant that we've had consistent positive articles and features in trade publications.

“They’ve also helped with many more things too, from award entry writing to social media training. We just want to say a huge thank you and hope Shooting Star is still here in another 20 years!”
