Opportunity Humber Event Set to Bring Businesses and Future Talent Together in Grimsby

Businesses from across the Humber region are set to come together this June for Opportunity Humber – Future-Proofing the Humber, an event designed to spark meaningful connections and shape the future of the local economy.

Taking place on Tuesday 2 June 2026, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at The Humber Royal, Grimsby, the event forms part of Humber Business Week and will welcome a diverse mix of attendees, including business owners, decision-makers, and emerging talent from further and higher education.

Unlike traditional networking events, Opportunity Humber is focused on purposeful engagement. Attendees will have the chance to connect with organisations ranging from sole traders and growing SMEs to established partnerships and larger employers, all with a shared commitment to strengthening the region’s economic future. 

A key highlight of the evening will be a panel discussion titled ‘Future-Proofing the Humber’, bringing together representatives from business, local authorities and education. The panel will explore the challenges currently facing the region, including skills shortages and workforce development, alongside opportunities for growth, innovation and long-term sustainability. 

The event will also place a strong emphasis on connecting businesses with future talent, with students and recent graduates invited to attend.
