The course will also involve the role of material properties in storage and handling, and their impact on product quality and process efficiency.

Course presenter, Dr Vivek Garg has been helping companies involved in the manufacture of batteries to better understand the problems encountered when handling and storing these bulk materials and has used this to create a bespoke course for the industry.

During the course he will cover the subjects of

Basics in operation, design and specification of hoppers, silos, bins and bunkers,

An introduction to the storage and flow of bulk solid materials

Feeders and feeding

Hopper discharge aids

Prediction of discharge rates focussing on battery materials.

He will also look closely at ways to determine the correct design for reliable discharge, including determining flow properties of battery materials, hopper geometry and practical

Is it for me?

This course is designed for professionals involved in material handling, storage, or processing within the battery industry. Ideal participants include process engineers, R&D professionals, plant managers, and supply chain specialists.
